Wanting More Out of Life: Stop Settling for Fine | Chana Ross

By Chana Ross10/7/2026
Smiling woman with black glasses and long hair; pink text reads “SHE HAS THE AUDACITY” and “With Chana Ross.”

Wanting more out of life is not a sign that you are ungrateful. It is a sign that you are done settling for fine. When the job is fine, the marriage is fine, the business is fine, and you are fine, that word quietly keeps you complacent and convinces you that mediocre is all you should expect. If you have ever downgraded a dream, told yourself it is not the right season, or felt greedy for wanting more when you already have enough, this solo episode is your permission slip.

Chana Ross, Holistic Leadership Coach, Women's Health Advocate, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, and host of She Has The Audacity, makes the case that fine is the worst four-letter word in the English language. She draws on two ideas from Kabbalah, ratzon (desire) and the kli and the or (the vessel and the light), to show why your desire for more is sacred guidance, not ego. She shares why she chose to sell Vital Physiotherapy and Wellness when everything looked fine from the outside, names the three lies that keep women stuck in the status quo, and hands you six permission slips plus a simple 15 minute practice to start. You are allowed to be proud of the life you built and still believe something more is waiting for you.

You’ll learn:

  • Why fine is the worst four-letter word in the English language, and how saying "I'm fine" keeps you complacent and convinced that mediocre is all you should expect from your life.

  • How wanting more out of life and gratitude can both be true, and why asking for an exceptional life is not the opposite of being grateful for the one you have.

  • What the Kabbalah concepts of ratzon and the kli and the or teach about desire, and why the pull to create more is the spark within you working exactly as designed.

  • The three lies that keep women stuck: that you should just be grateful, that it is not the right time, and that wanting more means burning your whole life down.

  • Six permission slips from Chana Ross, including permission to change your definition of success, protect time for what lights you up, and ask for help instead of doing it all.

  • How to start wanting more out of life without blowing it up: notice the recurring wish, make room for it with 15 minutes, and say it out loud to one person.
